Lizzo’s Weight Loss Journey and Her Philosophy on Health

Lizzo has always been open about her journey to a healthier lifestyle, emphasizing that the means justify the ends. In her recent interview, she showcased her slimmed-down figure while addressing various rumors surrounding her transformation. She admitted to having a complicated relationship with food in the past, including periods of undernourishment and finding a middle ground.

Lizzo made it clear that she doesn’t support any speculation that she used surgery or Ozempic for her weight loss. Instead, she focused on her personal efforts and how she feels about her new physique. “I’m still wearing plus-size clothing. I have the same rolls. I got the same belly, the same thighs, I think I'm just a smaller version,” she said.

Her approach to losing weight involved significant changes in her diet and lifestyle. She reduced her intake of sugary and processed foods, as well as alcohol. Lizzo also incorporated regular workouts, including three sessions a week, daily sauna and cardio routines, and added animal protein back into her meals. She hired a chef to help with meal prep and maintain a calorie deficit.

In addition to physical changes, Lizzo made adjustments to her mental health. She cut back on social media, ended an unhealthy relationship, and reconnected with her therapist. She also engaged in detoxification processes, such as yoga, acupuncture, sound baths, and reading. However, she recently allowed herself to enjoy liquor again, feeling she had earned the right after her hard work in the gym.

“I'm so proud of myself for overcoming that,” Lizzo shared with Women's Health Magazine.

The Experience With Ozempic

Lizzo previously tried using Ozempic to aid her weight loss, but she found that her eating habits did not align with the drug’s effects. She explained that Ozempic works by reducing appetite, making it easier to eat less. However, she emphasized that losing weight is possible without such methods, stating that it's all about "mind over matter."

She acknowledged that if she had taken a different path, such as using surgery or medication, she would still be proud of herself. “This sh-t is hard,” she said. Lizzo also highlighted the challenges faced by people who live in larger bodies in today’s society. According to a diet expert, she likely lost around 100 pounds, bringing her weight down to approximately 180 pounds, which is 10 pounds above her goal of 170.

A New Relationship With Food

Lizzo shared how her relationship with food evolved over time. She transitioned from an unpredictable and complex relationship to one where she listens to her body’s needs. She reintroduced animal protein into her diet after a trip to a protein bar and an experience with very clean food.

Now, her diet is high in protein and low in carbohydrates. She starts her day with two scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, and cauliflower hash browns. For lunch, she enjoys shredded Thai chicken salad or lettuce wraps with tuna or sliced chicken breasts. Her dinners include turkey meatloaf with mashed cauliflower potatoes and green beans.

Lizzo’s Stunning Appearance in Paris

Lizzo recently took a fashion-filled vacation to Paris, where she wore a metallic gown that accentuated her figure. In a post shared by The Blast, she posed in a figure-hugging champagne dress on a rooftop near the Eiffel Tower. She described it as a “back fat summer” and showed off her back rolls with a deep back cut. Her outfit also revealed side boobs and radiant skin, complementing the Parisian sun.

Fans praised her for her confidence and authenticity, noting that her weight is not what defines her. Many highlighted her attitude and voice as the qualities that make her unique.

Lizzo Joins the Backlash Against Sydney Sweeney

Lizzo also used her platform to comment on a controversial American Eagle ad featuring Sydney Sweeney. She created an AI image of herself in a similar pose, captioning it with a humorous twist. Instead of repeating Sweeney’s line about jeans and genes, she wrote, “My genes are black.” Doja Cat also joined in, using a thick southern accent in her response.

“My jeans are blee,” she wrote on TikTok, which some viewers found offensive, accusing her of being jealous of Sweeney. Despite the backlash, Lizzo continued to use her voice to challenge societal norms and promote inclusivity.
